That has to be the funniest description of Sweetheart I've ever heard, haha. I do wonder how on earth she would be able to reproduce... although I could directly quote her from the game as proof she's capable of feeling horny.

Unfortunately no, but soon!

I've been working on my own fic, which means I've mostly been looking at other ao3 stories for ideas about how to write the explicit stuff, plus watching playthroughs of Muramasa: The Demon Blade so I'd know what to use to properly set up the (barebones) plot details.

Anyway, back to the fic at hand, I can't help being concerned about several plot points that depend on Nightmare being a lot less patient than he tends to be in canon. As much as I want to fit the official characterizations as closely as possible, I think I might just have to make an excuse for this and call it a day. Maybe his failed portal ritual at Shunjuu and subsequent defeat has made him much more intolerant of things that are getting in his way.

I suppose one could argue that I write Nightmare too soft, but I dunno, sometimes that's just what it takes to make a goofy story idea work.

I dunno, I think it's pretty ridiculous in the Bad End paths of the first game that Nightmare goes from being a couple days away from his endgame to dithering for months while Mikoto or Sui go through their porn slave ordeals.

As far as I can tell, the only way to square those two things is that Nightmare is perfectly willing to sit back and relish in the normal level of corruption his presence brings, but then he'll rush his plans like a college student writing a final essay in one night the second an obstacle makes itself known.

You know, that's a fair assessment, and one I can probably apply here too. Thank you for making me feel better!

I've tried to make an effort to keep major OMORI spoilers to a minimum, with the unavoidable one being the fact that Mari is dead, which isn't actually revealed for a while in the game. All gets revealed in its own way this time around. Anyway, to those who are interested, I hope you enjoy this fic! I will try to keep to a schedule of putting up one chapter per week. There are several chapters left to be written, but hopefully I left myself enough time to finish them before we reach that point.

I'll be putting up Chapter 2 in a day or two, but here's a little illustration I put together for one moment of it.

You know, HUG would probably be a valid "battle" option if this were a crossover with Undertale rather than OMORI. I can only imagine how Frisk vs Nightmare would go...

Though, honestly, I could see Undertale x Mouryou no Nie, considering their plot descriptions start off practically identical. Basically "long ago, humans and monsters coexisted, then a war broke out and the humans were victorious, and they sealed the monsters under a mountain."

Anyhow yeah, likely putting the next chapter up tomorrow morning. I actually had a decent conversation with a reader in the comments of the first chapter. Likely not a hardcore Inyouchuu fan, since he (?) was rather nervously looking for confirmation that the fic wasn't going to get too explicit, but clearly familiar enough to be able to engage with the story. Regardless, I think it was pretty cool to have some correspondence on it. Shard and KED have already faithfully left their marks too, Shard of course being the writer who put that one cheeky Inyouchuu reference in his own fic not long ago.

Chapter 2 will be digging into some Dream Team vs Nightmare battle gameplay mechanics (see illustration above) in which everyone has abilities they're shown to have in official media. Quite a long way to go before we reach the chapters I just finished... I will say, however, that Chapter 17 dares to delve into both psychological and tentacle-squirmy torture, and to be honest, I think it might just inch out DHTBoS in how graphic it gets. Obviously a far cry from literally anyone else who writes an Inyouchuu fic, but still, I'm milking that "mature audiences, non-explicit" rating for all it's worth.
